  • Ben and I are engaged!!!

Well, I finally have something xanga worthy. I haven't written on here in a long time, I don't even know if anyone will look at this, but if you do...heres our story.

So, Tuesday we were supposed to go to Little Rock so I could have a relaxing day cause I"ve been stressed out lately. So after chapel, he made me blue berry pancakes for breakfast and we ate out on his balcony. He also game me roses, because that was the first gift he ever game me. When we were finished with breakfast he brought out a little flip book of index cards that had clues on them. So, we went on a scavenger hunt. They were things like where we had our first date, and first kiss and stuff like that. The scavenger hunt was really fun, and the last clue took us out to Riverside park where we had a picnic for lunch. After the picnic we went back to his house and took care of Travis' duck for a little bit. Then we went to Little Rock. We went to the mall because I was trying to find something for graduation, but I didn't buy anything. Well in the car he gave me a poem he had wrote for me, it was really sweet. Then we went to the Rave and watched in the Land of Women...interesting. We were practically the only people in the theater though so that was kind of fun, but when we sat down he got a nose bleed. Apparently is was because he was nervous...but I had no idea about that. After the movie he gave me another present in the car. Well for Valentine's day he had given me a Pirates of the Caribean lego set because it had a treasure set in it, and I"m his treasure. So, he gave me another one which had a telescope in, so that we could look towards building our future together...it was cute. So, then we went back to Searcy, we went to his moms house to make dinner. We had mac and cheese and hot dogs. Which I found a way to screw up the easiest thing in the world to make. But we had dinner on their back patio, with candle light it was perfect. Then he wanted to go for a walk, so we went to the walking trails. We walked to a bridge that we had talked at for a long time before we started dating, so we just were talking and then he had to blow his nose and of course he has his backpack with him. So he got down on the ground and blew his nose, and then he pulled out the ring. I was so excited I don't even really remember exactly what he said, but it was something to the effect of how this was where we transitioned from friendship to dating, and now he wanted to transition from dating to marriage, and he asked me to marry him. It was sort of funny though, because I didn't even say yes at first. I was so happy I just got down and hugged him and told him I loved him, and then I realized i hadn't answered. Of couse I said yes, and I accidently knocked the ring out of his hand when I hugged him, but everything was ok. Now, I get to marry the love of my life!

  • Whoa, its been so long since I've posted on xanga its all different. This is so weird. People actually check my page though, the little footprints thing told me so. So I guess I will fill my avid fans in on my life. Not to much to tell. I am still planning on graduating in May, and then hopefully beginning grad school in the summer...not to sure where that will be as of yet, but probably somewhere in good old Arkansas. Classes have been going pretty well, expect for the whole getting sick thing, which apparently my immune system decided it didn't need to work this semester. Luckily for me though, I have people to take care of me For those of you who don't know, I'm now dating Ben. I've been so blessed to have him and basically his whole family in my life. If you want more info than that, I guess you'll just have to ask me. Besides that, I've been excited about Delta chi stuff, always fun, and now I'm really getting ready for Thanksgiving break. I can't wait to go home and see my family, rest a little, and hopefully see some snow!

  • Well, I haven't updated in an awfully long time, so I thought I would make an effort. I'm home for the summer with really nothing to do, no one wants to hire me. But I think that may be good after all, I think I'm going to try and shadow some speech pathologists and audiologists. Maybe that will help me decide what I want to do for the rest of my life. I went to Dallas a couple weeks ago, that was pretty much the highlight of my summer so far. Justines wedding was beautiful and I am so happy that I got to see my friends Chad and Justine get married, I know that their life together will be so blessed. I also got to see a lot of my friends who I miss so much. I love staying at Ben's house, we always have a good time. Plus it was my birthday while I was there, so Bobby took me out to dinner which was wonderful, and we got to have ice cream cake at Ben's house, so overall it was a fantastic birthday. We have some youth interns here from Freed this summer, they seem to be doing a good job so far, so I will be fairly busy with that too, and camp will start before I know it. 3 weeks in July, that are usually the best weeks of my summer. I love working out at camp. Then by the time I'm done with all that it will practically be time to go back to school, which honestly I won't really mind. I think I'm ready to go back already. But I'm still enjoying my nice hot summer days, and yard work, and swimming at the beach...so maybe not quite yet.
